I tried to do this at the RROC, then some of the KIDS I was trying to help took the idea and collected a whole bunch of them ( a whole black garbage bag. Now I think only like three people actually got these tires. Some people are just selfish! I wanted to help out more of the locals that race at the track, and a couple of punks ruined it for all!!!

Good idea, I'm sure the drivers will appreciate it! I'll be at Superior on Sunday, I'd like to meet you.

I did the same thing with the tires from the Roar outdoor nats last year. Everyone wanted a box 'o' tires for themselves, but at first I limited it to 2 sets(8) tires per person and then when the main crowd went away, I went around and made sure that the kids that raced there had enough tires to last them a few seasons. I had enough for donations at 3 local tracks for 4 weekends.

I put up a large box that I emptied every day and it read "Please donate your used tires". I got over 400 tires and close to 30 motors. I personally kept 1 set of tires for my effort, but eventually gave them up too, and gave everything else away.

I just chimed in because it is good to see someone else doing the same thing. It was pretty bad when I saw how many tires were going to become residents of the local landfill.
