Default trying to switch to brushless

hey guys, i a lot lost with the brushless motor thing, i am looking into a 17.5 because the club wants that, everything i look at is in a kva rating, so what the ?????? is that, and how do i get the spec for a 17.5? im lost some help would be great, thanks

Just about all motors that are 17.5 are sensored motors (Trinity D3, LRP X-12, Novak Ballistic, Speedpassion V3, etc). Motors that are exclusively rated in Kv are usually sensorless motors. The Kv rating isn't really that meaningful, since those ratings are no-load RPM at 1 volt.

See what other local racers are running for the 17.5 class and get one of those.
