tc3 help
hey guys, i just picked up a tc3 to try this winter for indoor carpet racing, they have it listed to run a 27 turn or a brushless 17.5, so i al going to run a 27 because i have it, any ideas of what gearing to use would be, i had a 26/72 and my mo3 kicked the crap out of it, help would be great, i know there is a lot of master tc3 owners out there, thanks..

Long time M03 and still a TC3 racer. It's been awhile since I've ran 27t brushed, but I recall a final drive ratio of 7.0 was about right. 26/72 sounds right. If it's getting beat by a mini then something else is going on; same motor, the TC3 should win. Might be time to cut the comm or change brushes. Check drive train binding issues as well. |
I just rebuild my old TC3 with brushless HW Xerun and a LRP X12 10.5t for fun racing, I have not run it yet and dying to have a go to see how it performs.
So I spent almost all day yesterday, took everything apart, cleaned and reoiled everything, checked all running parts individually, and it was needed !! Maybe you should do the same, there are a few updates you could do also if you wish. |
