I highly recommend a slapmaster thrust bearing. it make a night and day different (I built mine with slapmaster and the shop owner who is a reputable racer in Taiwan built his stock. he is amazed with how smooth my diff was)

2. Since the manual mention nothing about optional side spring. I recommend replacing the stock side spring and spring holder with AE parts for more tuning option.

other than that, It is a nice car although not much R&D in it.
I agree with the diff. I switched over to a CRC spur with the 3/32 balls and it seems better. I do not run a thrust bearing but I might give it a try.

For the side springs I picked up some of the windtunnel racing front springs. They are the fronts they use on oval 1/10 pan cars (i think), but they fit the stock Kyosho holder perfect.

Did you have any problem with the front kingpins? When I built the front end as the instructions stated the front end had lots of slop. I had to add an extra 1mm of shims to get it out.

I also added quite some shims to the kingpin to have proper preload. but I am not sure if that is an issue bigger than the diff. I use CRC stock diff collet behind the thrust bearing because therre is not Slapmaster kit for Kyosho Plazma RA, have to be creative.

Here are two pictures of my Plazma Ra.
I have the Diff Thrust Cone - 2.3 mm.
My diff is super soft.

I was boring this morning and try something stupid, I found that the front suspension part of Kyosho Plazma are perfectly interchangeable. the screw hole on the Alu block for plastic part is identical. as long as you get the upper arm and caster block together, you can directly bolt the AE R5.1 parts on to the Plazma and geometry seem to be same as well.

Here's my setup for tqrc. The other Driver that runs a Plazma is Joel Johnson. He just won 1/12 Mod in the TQ 2nd Year Anniversary Race.

There is a Team Orion version of this coming,Its around $500.00 so I am guessing its a full deal with servo, motor,ESC and maybe a battery.
