Default Orion 90c lipo

Does anyone know if these are constant 90c discharge and therefore have a much higher burst rate or are they quoting the burst rate for sales? The blurb doesnt say either way to me.

Not much news for such a scoop, Scoop!

I was wondering the same.

they are plenty Lipos out there with ratings that do not match on the track, a 50C from one make is sometimes better than a 60C from another make, but Orion are very serious so...I would be surprise if they announce 90C and don't deliver.

Lol.
My experience of lipos so far has been very positive. We started with some hong kong 35c with 60c burst and they seemed like rockets to our cells. Recently we got a Silverback 60c with 100c burst and the thing is mental so i can only imagine what a 90c and whatever burst rate above that must be like
We have no problems with the Silverback running HW Extreme and 10.5. Its great start to finish.

I don't forget the ORION Platinum 4800 mAh.We discovered that they were rated 16C 2 years later they were selling them and when they released the 3800mAh Carbon 30C. 90C? Yeah, dream on.

Ya, think the most important thing is how it is on the track. Tried my friend's almost brand new Orion 90C few days ago (only used 2-3 times). (He hit a wall at full speed total his car so need to discharge the battery be already charged, hum.....). Anyway, compare to my 9 months old silverback 60C the orion do have a little more punch (LRP 4.0T in a serpent 411). And both the silverback and Orion feel very good from start to finish (8min).

Venom is advertising a 70C also ?? at least it is a little closer to the 60/65C around, my problem with Orion is to see advertise such a jump by one company and nothing from the other, knowing that most cells comes from the same factories...

As a matter where do you get your silverbacks, not many places advertise on net.
Personaly I use IPs in 60C and they have a really good punch, and seems cheaper than silverbacks.

Here again!! Since we don't have any information from the manufactures how they measure the C rate ,there is no meaning.Anyone can "baptize" them whatever he wants.

Got mine from Ebay but havent seen any on there for the past week. There are a few guys at our club that use other makes of 50c and 60c battery but we only run classes according to regular finishing places not motor size etc so unless you get to put their battery in your car you cant compare. I think im gonna try and do this next time we're out. If i get it done i'll report back

Scoop, if you're able to get down to Colchester next Sunday (14th) then I can sort you out with a pack of the SMC 60C lipos to try if you're interested.

They are adveritsed at up to 90c which to me its like a 45c-60c constant and 90c min burst .

But hey anyone can write anything on there packs ask for a test sheet with your pack with the constant discharge graph then you will know the truth .

otherwise just take it as it is .
