Hey od, wouldn't the rear pod bind under side load with that setup?

Not sure what you think you see there, it's a standard link car configuration. No binding

not the links in the pod, just the axle bearings binding under lateral load(mid corner loading)

Indeed. The Rebel isn't even under the "Products" listing, just a few pics on the main page.

T.O.P. chassis look pretty sweet, cool to see another new WGT car

Well, you're both right. T.O.P. made an announcement last October about the Rebel 10 and 10SS and it took until this May to get the first kits out. Not a very good time of year to introduce a pan car in the USA. We posted that we had the WGT in stock when we received them, but were unable to run the car until just before the nats at Jackson (it is just the two of us and Corky, our gifted/challenged assistant). So here we are.

The website is being updated right now and we will have it up soon

Default First Race With New TOP WGT

Ran the car for the first time yesterday. Car was perfect!! Did not have to make any adjustments!! Car had great corner speed and was supper easy to drive. Was on TQ pace in last qualifier only to hit a dot and got the car upside down. When it finally stopped sliding and turn marshal got me back rolling, I had lost my TQ pace. Qualified second and finished second due to battery issue. (Low voltage. New batteries ordered) Ran the car with the battery down the middle (aka CRC) and right up against the back of the steering servo placing more weight forward. To set the car up this way, you need to order two parts, two rear cross brace stand offs and two washers. Maybe OD can post the part numbers.

This is a very nice car!!!!!

Thanks Crashby. The kit comes with parts for longitudinal battery placement but they are designed for 2s rather than 1s so the stand offs are taller than neccessary for 1s. To lower the supplied battery cross brace/hold-down just use the 18mm rear cross brace standoffs (PC-RCH015RD, you need two) and fine tune the height to fit your particular battery with .5mm spacers (AW-M050RD)

Ran my rebel 10 today on a Nitro track after racing had finished. Car felt great and was easy to drive with Xceed medium front and rear. Had great corner speed as well as change of direction. Gave two friends a go and both were impressed. Was told to try black side spring and centre shock.

Default TOP Rebel 10 Set Up From TOP Gun Race

Track = Asphalt
Layout = long, flowing, smooth & fast
Traction = High

Rebel 10

Battery position = center like CRC GenX and all the way forward
Battery = Fantom 1s
Speed Control = Tekin/Ramped
Motor = Team Powers 13.5
Front Springs = kit/copper
Front Track = wide/200mm
Front Roll Spacer = 1.5mm
Lengthened Upper Control arms = 2.0mm
Toe = 0
Caster = Full/all shims in front
Front Tires = BSR purple stripe - 54mm
Front ride height = 3.5mm
Servo = KO 951
Servo mount = Flat
Center Shock oil = 35
Center Shock spring = kit
Side dampener tube = 5000
Side springs = black
Rear ride height 3.5
Rear pod droop = 1.0mm
Rear Track = 200 mm
Rear tire = BSR purple stripe 57mm
Roll out = 61mm

Car was noticeably faster than the rest of the field. TQ'd by 10 tenths over second qualifier. Car has great corner speed and was easy to drive. A1 sesults = started from pole and on third dot got car upside down and went to last place!! Finished 2nd. A2 result = Started from pole and won. A3 results = Started from pole and won.

This is a very good car. If you have any questions about the set up, just ask. To get the 2.0mm upper control arm length does require some longer screws.
