Update
Plans for the race are coming together. Eric will be able to discuss the classes and some of the other minor changes to the Open classes.
The Invitational class will be changed somewhat. The class will be limited to 20 of the best drivers in the world (down from 32) spread into two heats of 10 cars racing 10 rounds (2 Friday, 4 each Saturday and Sunday). This change will insure that every race is like an A-final. There will be no easy wins. Races are 6-minutes in length.
The points system is still in the planning stages but the idea is to use the same points system used for the top 10 finishers in F1 races -25 points for a win, 18 for second, 15 for third, on down to 1 for 10th. One bonus point will be given to the driver with the fastest lap in each of the two races per round. And one bonus point will be given to the winner of the faster race in each round. The winner will earn the trophy for sure.
As more information becomes available it will be posted here.
Invitation class drivers confirmed so far:
Keven Hébert – Canada
Juho Levänen – Finland
Olly Jefferies – England
Rick Hohwart – USA
Tyler Vik – USA
Jesse Stark – USA
Atsushi Hara – Japan
Andy Moore - England
