Default Help needed with 1/12th scale roll-out

Hi,
I'm pretty new to 1/12 scale and need some help. I'm planning to run a 4.5 - 5.5 turn motor in a crc chassis. We have 2 local tracks 1 outdoor which is pretty long and quick while the indoor track is short and tight. What kind of roll-out numbers must I aim for on the 2 different tracks? I have no clue.

Have you spoken to some of the drivers you will be racing against at these tracks? Hopefully they will share what they are running or at least get you in the ballpark. This would probably be the best bet as a long track to one person may be short to another which might result in some not overly helpful advice.

Check the CRC setups page for rollout and setup info...

I run 3.5T so it will be much lower..... but for large outdoor track I run around 35mm vs short track around 30mm..... so maybe a big higher like 35-40mm?

Thnaks all - the setup sheet up sheets I looked at didn't have any gearing but 35 - 40mm will give me a starting point ...

You need to look up the thread relevant to your ESC and ask the same question there. You will get much better help there.
