Default Cheaper sources of RC Car oils, grease and other fluids.

I am getting a little tired of buying diff grease, and other chemicals in small quantities.

Does anyone know of alternatives that can be bought at auto or hardware stores for

diff grease, (ball diffs like Losi),
thrust bearing grease,
red grease for MIP CVDs,
various lubricating oils,
etc,
What exactly is the difference between synthetic and non-synthetic oil/grease and does it matter which you use?

also there must be a cheaper source for lexan paints both for airbrush users and spray can users.

It might be asking a lot but I would not be surprised if the foam used on foam tires could not be purshased in bulk somewhere.
