Default Reedy Sonic compare to LRP X12

Which one is faster for mod? X12 has crazy top end. Does the new Sonic can match?

What application and wind are you referring to ?

I helped a friend with his Sonic 4.0 in 12th mod last weekend.
The Sonic is smooth, very smooth, I like that.

But the the LRP 4.0 has more rip, & top end.
This was out of the box with only rollout adjusted

Once we boosted his Tekin RS, the Sonic had plenty of rip, and was a very smooth, efficient, cool running motor.
We didn't try endbell timing adjustments yet.

Can't comment on how it works for 2s racing.
We just run 12th

One thing to keep in mind is the Reedy motor comes with the timing factory set to 15 degrees. Mark on the maximum end is 30 degrees. The LRP come preset with 28 degrees of timing. Just an FYI.
