Cheep price for matched/zapped GP3300's

Matched/Zapped GP3300's for $4.99

Hi -

I get my GP3300's from: http://www.modelelectronicscorp.com

I was rechecking their website today and noticed their prices have dropped. So if anyone if looking for a good deal or if you know of where I can get a better price. I don't think anyone can do them for lower than $4.99.

I have never seen matched/zapped cells for that low of a price.

Their price list:
http://www.modelelectronicscorp.com/price-list.html

I am not sure how long the price will stay that low.

Has anyone else found cheaper?

raving-monkey 10-25-2004 12:19 PM

$4.99? how can you have a single matched cell?

and www.rc-mushroom.com sell gp3300 cells for $4.80 or something.

X2 10-25-2004 12:22 PM

 I was thinking the same thing raving-monkey.
WOW! they have matched single cells!

studysession 10-25-2004 12:22 PM

Not a single matched cell. That is price per cell.

Like if you wanted 6 or 8 cells, he would match and zapp them for you. I think it is a good deal. But you still need battery bars and assemble yourself at that price.

$4.80 is good too.

WOW!!! $4.10

WOW!! These prices on the 3600's:

Battery prices sure have dropped. What's the deal???

pheyhoe 10-25-2004 12:32 PM

coz they aint a matched pack. its a single cell, bet they range from 1.10 to 1.15 etc its still $30 its not that cheap really. you pay for the matching process etc.

studysession 10-25-2004 12:36 PM

It is cheap comparing to other sites. Some site like http://www.finedesignrc.com/battcharge.asp still lists them for $10 per cell and $8 for sale price.

So less than $5 is very cheap in comparison.

I have 6 packs from Model Electronics and like them a lot. But right now I have been going around comparing and see some sites still have super high prices and others are really low prices.

Trying to figure out what's the deal. In past I was always seeing the $10 range being the average.

If you look they show 1.15's for $8.00 a cell or $49.99 a pack.
Not sure if you dont pay attention to the NET but you can get 1.15's for $30.00-35.00 ALL DAY LONG.
Thats $6.00-6.75 a cell

You can get 1.16's all day long for either $34.99-39.99
1.17's at 30 amps for $49.99

Sorry but I would be buying my cells from a reputable matcher and save a lil being they are only 1.15's.

There were a few websites posted here. Which one did you get these numbers from?

rcguy2477 10-25-2004 01:12 PM

www.kinetixrc.com

1.17-1.175 $39.95

You cant beat that price. Also, when in stock, you can get 1.15's for $24.95, 1.16's for $29.95, and 1.175+'s for $49.95. I just bought two of the 1.17 packs and they work great, especially for the price.

raving-monkey 10-25-2004 01:39 PM

them 3600s on rc-mushroom are actually quite good seen as though they aint matched.

i used them in my 12th, will be using them for club racing/practise in my TC now and they have pretty good voltage for 3600s and can put 4300-4400 into them!

Santosh 10-25-2004 01:50 PM

and have you tested how much comes out of them on a (better) discharger?

If you read thier site they are not matched they are just zapped. IM sure they would work fine for practice. But will not perform or last in Racing conditions. If you look for cheap batteries that is just what you are going to get.

studysession 10-25-2004 02:16 PM

Everyone is so quick to ridicule anyone who posts anything -

Here is a quote from their site:
GP3300 mAh, NiMH Sub-C, straight from the case, factory matched by voltage, including "zapping" and Silver Power Pasting

http://www.modelelectronicscorp.com/...ose-cells.html

It says factory matched by voltage

The silver pasting is what they use when they put the batteries in the tubes. This way you can change the configuration without having to resolder which is important for what I am working on at the moment.
