I have a problem. I want to get the TB03 but there aren't any built ones for sale... I'm new to this hobby and I know most of you would recommend the TT01... Which comes with everything except battery and charger (Maybe Body). I want a TB03D High Performance already built just missing Body, Battery and Charger... I can't seem to find any of those... Please help me... To build a TB03 SEEMS 10X Complicated...

Tamiya make it as straightforward as you could imagine to build the car from a kit. The instructions are very clear, the fit and finish of the parts are excellent. For many of us building is a big part of the enjoyment, it also means that when the car needs maintenance or upgrades, you know how it goes together.

I just had to assemble a Playmobil swimming pool for my daughter, it was a lot trickier than building a Tamiya RC car.

You should be able to find the body and electrics seperately - maybe it is a little confusing because there is so much choice and it is hard to know what you need. This is where a good, knowledgeable local shop comes into its own.

Its certainly simpler to make your first RC purchase a ready-to-run model though, and often cheaper than buying seperately.

Don't get TT01. Even if all you plan to do is to bash around with friends. TB03 gives you a lot more flexibility in the setup department.

There are Kits available with body, they usually cost around $160 + postage. Would love to build you one, but I'm in the wrong side of the world...

Also, when buying a radio kit, make sure you get one that can adjust more than just the trim.

Ive owned both TT01 & TB03
Dont get the TT01. Overpriced obsolete design ( a toy)

Kits are really easy to build , & you will learn alot about the car by building it. Will take a few hours though.
You will need that build experience for maintaince/repairs

Ty for info and hojai, that would've been cool but I'm not planning on getting the TB-03 anymore Gonna get Exceed Madstar Brushless... Might be a better car... Less Money invested into it and it comes rtr ...

Tamiya just released a TB03 that is designed purely to enhance drifting TB03 VDS. It has carbon chassis and almost all the blink and hop ups you'll need. It's better than TB-03D which is a normal TB-03 with different damper position and a set of drift tyres. Check out the product link. Tamiya 84205 TB-03 VDS
