Default Did HPI make this......

Sorry guys, but I have searched the internet over trying to find a 1/10 SINGLE BELT 4WD onroad electric car made by HPI.

I bought the car used from a local hobby shop and can't seem to find any info on it.. It has HPI in raised letters on the front and rear diffs and also on the old school "squeeze clamp" battery covers. The car has the X pattern sport style looking chassis. The front shocks also lay at an angle. Any help would be great!

Sounds like you have the original RS4- it had a belt at the front and gear box at the rear;

The car pictured is not mine but the RS4 was my very first sedan (good times) and perhaps HPI's first big hit.

That's the one! How would I search for that car? I tried ELECTRIC HPI RS4 with no luck... Wow this thing is going to be hard to find parts for.. Thanks for your help!

Well I really need front and rear diffs.... Mine are shot! other than that the car runs great. I'm gonna leave this one brushed... I don't think this car needs brushless power considering parts are so hard to find.

If I am not mistaken, this single belt design is very similar to the NEW Tamiya TA-06.

HPI are pretty good in that they still list all their manuals. The manual for the RS4 is here http://archive.hpiracing.com/index2.htm
