So....I smoked my BEC.. Now what??
Well, I hooked up my new EZrun 60a ESC and smoke rolled out from the BEC.. Thats because I managed to plug the batt in backwards... 
The esc powers up and all lights and fan work fine, Even set-up button works.
After of course I snipped the wires going to the BEC.
My question is this... Should I buy another bec or is the esc trash? Also can I
bypass the bec to check the esc so I know if it even works? As of now the motor will not run or servos.

Why are you running an external BEC in the first place?

Well... What I thought was an external BEC was just the capacitors...
My RX had a bad connection keeping the motor from turning..I got that problem fixed and the ESC worked other than cogging really bad..to the point I would have to give the motor a little help.Sometimes if would start fine but glitch really bad. I ordered a new capacitor tonight and hopefully will fix the problem.
