Anyone have an extra Griffin motor plate? Or know of another brand that fits? I have a cracked one and it looks like Josh is out of them.

I noticed the same issue with spur size and just replaced with a bigger one. Watch which way you put your pinion on, it may rub on the front belt. The steering is a little tight but I did use some 600 grit sand paper to free it up. Do not sand to much because Josh did say they show wear quickly.

I was going to get one until someone pointed out his motor mount bandade .
If he ever gets in gear and produces the kit with all the correct parts I will have me one .
But not going to be burned again with them bendable motor mounts like last time.
Let me ask tc owners this ,had anyone other than me and my 2 travel guys ever tweaked a camber plate on a photon or cefx ? I/we have about 6 plates that r either bent(unlaminated) or the screw cut thru the carbon and now are junk.
On the new EVO if this happens .........does this bring up a expensive problem?
All it takes is one moron to hit u in the wheel and mess up the camber plate "area" of the top deck... Theirs $50 and who knows how long to get a replacement.
On the new photon and old this is only a $7 fix

With the old Evo I never had an issue with the motor mount. With the Evo the two sets of the old motor mounts will work until he sends out the new ones. I have not seen the issue with the camber plates, I do make sure all hardware is tight on them though.

I do not mind ordering from CEFX because the products are well worth it! Keep up the good work Josh, Angel, and those that have helped them keep up.

I think I found one. Are the old green ones the same as the old style black ones? I know the new blacks are different but I have the old blacks and found a green.

I'm talking about motor plates, not tires

Got most of the EVO built (still waiting on the bearings). I built mine using mostly TF6 parts such as the TF6 gear diffs, axles, shocks and suspension arms. I have a ton of the TF parts so that is why I went that direction. I used the TOP suspension pickups, 3Racing center pulley and some XRAY hubs.

Default Looks great!

1380 with a shorty? I have a feeling you will need some weight on that ride!

Could someone please post a few pics of the battery side of the Evo? Thanks.

Here are some pics of the battery side. There is a locator on the inside both front and back. The fit is good on the locators and the tape slots are right at the edge of the battery. In the picture without the battery you can see some of the almost 100 grams of weight added to make weight. The piece used is from the photon balance weight set, it is cut down to length and notched for the servo to fit in where I have it.

Yes the old plates are the same, just different colors.

I've not had any problems with the old camber plates. In testing the new top deck was pounded pretty hard and did not fail.

As for the motor mount, you're getting two in the kit to use until the new production comes in. That's better than getting one of the current old stock in the kit and then you have to order another one if you bend the first. Hardly a band-aid IMO.
