Griffin 10 build is coming on well I'm pleased to report. Rolling chassis now ready and just needs electrics, tyres and body shell fitted.

Any tips on a starting set up for carpet please?

Thank you
Mark

Alot of good feedback on the griffin 12, are most of you running it as a mod car or stock? I will race 17.5 with it. I have been hearing from people that the corner speed is down on the griffin 12 as it was built for mod?

Not true the corner speed on the griffin in 17.5 blinky is awsome

Agreed. Corner speed is great with the right body. I tend to have to dial it back a bit w/ dual-rate or expo.

Agreed.

I run 13.5 blinky on a smaller carpet track and tons of corner speed with the right setup and radio settings!!

44m or 46m?

Thanks.
Do any of you guys know, please?

No, you cannot run a larger pulley at the spur. The pulleys are from the Photon and key into the spur gear holes for drive.

I'm not 100% sure but I think you will need the 44mm shafts with Tamiya suspension.

Hi Rick. Thanks.
As far as the Pulley goes I was thinking of 3racing. Seems like a similar system to TOP, but more versatile for ratios.

I choose to run the 3Racing center pulley Set (SAK-07A) on my EVO. It mounts in the same fashion as the TOP but like you said with the 3Racing you can swap out different center pulleys (19t up to 22t). If you run anything different than the TOP pulleys and diffs you might have to hunt around for belts. This is a great link to various belt sizes run by other cars.

I hope this helps.

Finally received my evo kit. I'm a little surprised that the new motor mounts weren't ready to be shipped together.

Josh,

What's the eta on the new 2011 mounts?

Thank you to everyone that replied to my post on the 12th scale. I bought one today and should have it on track mid next week. Any good starting points for 17.5 blinky.

Just built my Evo, noticed a few things. When running a 88t spur for blinky 17.5 the motor bows the top deck, fixing this by switching to a bigger spur and pinion. The other thing I noticed is how tight the steering system is. I know that the Tamiya steering system will fit but I was wondering if anyone knows the spacing on the Hot Bodies dual arm steering system http://www.amainhobbies.com/product_...eering-Arm-Set Kind of hoping this would fit because Tamiya parts are a little harder for me to get. Other than that it looks like it should be a good car, can't wait to test it.

Thanks
