Default LRP (LeMans prototype) GTP bodies

why don't companies make these bodies for 1/10 on-road, am i the only one who likes them ?
the only ones i have seen are mcallister and there 8.5-9.25 inch's wide
pro-line used to make the mulsanne, i have not been able to find any old stock any were so they must have been popular, i don't have much $$$ but will trade my left nut for 1

Personally, I think WGT missed the boat and should have used bodies modeled after the current Lemans or Rolex Daytona prototypes. The Mulsanne was a good looking alternative, but the godfathers of the class went coupe and never looked back.

I agree. I can't stand the gt bodies with the slammed noses for wgt.

I do think HPI makes some LMP style bodies in 200mm. I had a mercedes body and maybe one other.

I agree 100%. I think World GT would have a larger following if they would go to these types of bodies. Back in the early 90's we ran the GTP type bodies and I thought they were great.

I really hope others feel the same and we bring the older bodies back...

yes there seems a very limited wgt body choice.
most of those bodies available can be run us usgt etc.
dont get me wrong i like realistic bodies but does every dam 1/10 class have to cater for it. cant we have one racer class, wgt should have been like this to set it apart imo.
the gtp bodies imo look more realistic than most tc bodies any way.

+1

I would love to see LMP bodies in R/C. I purchased a Super Nitro RS4 years back due to the BMW V12 LMR model (a Toyota GT1 was also available). The closest kit to LMP models were the Tamiya F103GT. An F103 with the Tamiya Courage LC70 body is pretty scale looking. Here's hoping for Tamiya to release the Audi R15 or the Peugeot 908 HDi - better yet, both.

Tamiya still has the F103Gt, car and body set. The cars looks awesome.

I am looking at getting a touring car and if LRP bodies were available they would be my first choice.

when is the CRC World GT body coming out????? Last I heard they were doing some final tweaks but that was months ago. I think it's modelled after an Audi if I'm not mistaken.

would not hold your breath, i think there has been a total of 3 bodies made for wgt since it started.
hopefully pro-line or hpi start looking at some lrp bodies.
pro-line should still have the mulsanne mold, as there is none about i am sure if they popped a run of them out they would sell very well.

Do racers go completely mental when they get hacked. I probably would if a body cost 75$ In all seriousness though, that sucks for you guys down under. If I had of known, I would have brought loads of bodies with me when I lived in Oz and sold them for 40$

I'd even like the Corvette C6. It seemed that just as the pans got popular Protoform stopped making the 200mm bodies.
I can't understand why they aren't on the shelves again considering the popularity of WGT

There's a company in Japan called Blade Racing. They make a few bodies for 190mm cars.

Here's a list of their Group C bodies.
TOYOTA TS010
TWR ・XJR14
P905
911/GT1 96
BL962

In Japan the bodies run at between 3000 - 3500 yen which is pretty much what we pay for most bodies.

But, I don't know of their availability outside Japan nor how much it would cost to send them elsewhere.
