Hmmm...I was thinking about 20 minutes ago how to make R/C a marketable, T.V quality product and one of my thoughts was to make pavement tracks with elevation changes and wavy-surfaced straits. Then have the drivers glue some flint to the bottom of their chassis, that way when they bottom out sparks fly out from under the chassis...creating a cool effect

I made a whole list of cool stuff, If you guys wanna hear I'll make a new thread

Anyway.....Try flint

I loosened a few of the rear screws on the chassis so that they stuck out an extra millimeter and I lowered the chassis so there was just a couple milemeters of clearance. Strapped in a 10x2 and the sparks flew...it was allot of fun...but I think it was scaring some of the other drivers at socal
Please make a thread devoted to the topic of making rc cooler...I like your track idea.

Cool idea guys! How bout some type of piano wire type holders mounted low under the chassis that would hold a light flint on each end. Have it set so when the car corners or under acceleration the sparks fly! I hope to try this at our night time races next year.
