Failsafes are generally for gas vehicles. Not sure I have ever seen one in an electric car. My philosophy is if you need a fail safe, you should have bought a better radio.

Does a failsafe even work with a speedo?

a failsafe will return a servo to a selected position(so the brakes are on) so i dont think it would work with a speedo
