For what it's worth I asked them the same question and got a negative - I have a UK account , and it's GBP 6,99 here - they quoted the no refund policy, even though I quoted the developer saying its an upgrade , that he had upgrade problems updating in appstore etc.

Well that sucks! I checked yesterday and my credit went through. Now I can't buy the newer version of the app because it does not exsist in the iTunes store. I'm getting kind of frustrated with this. The app is a good one, but all the hassle is making think about not bothering with it.

Thanks!
The app called Setup is an app I built for real car racing. All of the content in it is applicable to RC, but the RC version has more information in it specific to RC.

Did that work for you? This sucks that apple has been so difficult with this situation. They finally approved the new product called "RC Setup Workbench" but they have not resolved the issue of enabling an upgrade to the old version.

I have significantly dropped the price to $4.99 for "RC Setup Workbench" iphone app and as well for the iPad version which is called "Setup Workbench HD".

I am waiting on a bug in the 3rd party library I use to be fixed before it will work on the Android...So I am not entirely sure when I can get the new version out for the Android devices. It will be out as soon as possible.

cheers.
Martin.

When will the app be updated so that I can set my iPhone next to my car and it does all the setup for me?

Default store your setups

Hi,

So what do you think about the new feature allowing you to store your chassis and esc setups?

Cheers.
Martin.

Got the app yesterday... very useful. In a future version maybe look at allowing the setups to be saved to dropbox / icloud, and printed/pdf'd?

Black Knight,

It is a very good app and these updates would make it a whole lot better.

However don't expect the updates, expect Martin to publish a "new" app and charge you all over again.

DUDE!!!!!

As someone who has published via iTunes for work stuff, the process is a bi7ch, I can understand what happened as I'm sure most people can. Martin apologized and attempted to rectify by significantly lowering the price of the new release. He also took the time to explain this to us here in is thread.....

I'm not sure what else you're expecting mate!

Martin keep up the good work, there are next to no rc apps of value around, this is one of the best. Thank you.

yes...this is a great idea and part of the product roadmap. I purposely designed the way I store the setup info to be self describing, which means you will be able to create setups for any car and then share them with someone.

Just clicked on the link on the first page to the iTunes store. Tells me the app is not available to the US market.
