Whoops I thought this was a thread about all the idiots that rarely or never race but post all over rctech acting like they know everything about RC and racing.

This car is one of the first high-end tc's to come out of Japan I think it came out like in 98 or 99. Tech racing was an aftermarket Japanese RC company, much like team atlas.

I had a buddy that was from Japan that raced at our club that would bring out the Japanese RC Mags and we'd drool over this car, the ABC Hobby and the Tech Racing cars... Awesome find...

Looks interesting indeed. never heard of the car, or it's maker.
I'm not sure I'd want to race/run it. I imagine parts are very hard to find! however, as a vintage purchase, it would look nice on the shelf.

I found the three belt design and pivot balls (instead of pins) interesting. Guess it would better for sitting on a shelf than racing though

Yes, that Carrera IV is the one I was talking about! That design was so different!

You are right about it being one of the first high end cars, but tech is still around. Techs car after this was the one to beat and Tamiya bought the designs. So your TRF cars are really Tech cars. Tech still makes TRF parts for Tamiya touring cars. The TA05MS even says Tech right on the box.
Any way Atlas hasnt done much recently but Tech is focusing on Drift and F1 which are the biggest markets in Japan right now. ABC Is also knee deep in Drift making a body for just about every popular drift car out there.
Here is a link to Tech
http://www.tech-racing.co.jp/

I have a bunch of parts for the car if somebody has one I need to get rid of the parts before I cut them up for other cars.

I remember this car back in the day when I lived in Japan. I never owned one. I raced the Yokomo YR4 series cars and Losi StreetWeapon. If I remember correctly, the guy that had one won his first time out with it. He was very happy. I like their Medusa cars. Very good for parking lot low traction tracks.

Default 1999 Tech Racing Voggered 10 RS

It was one of hot cars in 1999. i have a few magazines from that time in japan and the US reviewing that car. it was supposed to be completely blanced, becuase the front and rear diffs are in the center, becuse of the thrid side belt, and also the saddle pack batteries. But you need a proper setup station for it becuase of the pillow ball adjustability. You also have to use threadlock on the piloowballs otherwise they will shake loose.
