Default gp 2300 NiMah

i bought 8 of these batteries for my jr-xr3 and the highest batt reading i can get is 11 i can usually get a 12.6 from new energizers and duracells that arn't recharageable. i've cycled them a few times does anyone know if that is the max they will read or do i need to keep cycling them to get a higher reading. thanks

These NiMh are rated 1.2V, verses energizers (alkaline batts) at 1.5V. So you're going to have lower voltage. You should be fine with these in your radio, long as you don't dip into the 9v range. I think JR radio beeps for low voltage at 9.6V? At least it does on my R-1.

Its not the peak voltage that matters, its how long the cells can sustain their voltage.
