Ko calls it the hyper booster, suppose to replace the diode. here is the info:

VFS Hyper Booster
Available Feb 2002
Item No. 40034

Up to 20% power increase.* This ultimate device is a new generation of accessory for VFS-2000 and KSC-1200F.
Just replace existing 'Shotku Diode' to Hyper Booster.
Features: Increases efficiency of the motor. Decreases the noise. Longer motor life.
* Performance will vary depending on the condition.

It can only be used with VFS or KSC ESC from Ko. I don't think there is anything wrong with their ESC.

Jut curious, if a flag ship ESC does need something else to improve its performance, I do think the esc itself has some problem with it as a consumer. The features you stated above does nothing to the esc but to the motor only !!

did I say it does anything to the ESC?... It does somehow imporves the power and gives the motor longer life. and the motor can't run without the ESC providing the current. that's why I said it gives you more punch from the ESC.

It's more like a "hop-up" then something that's required to make the ESC works better. It works fine as it is. just as anyone would buy hop-up for their cars. Even though the car is pretty much race-ready.

It's not there is anything wrong. Any cheap performance enhancer is always good.

Believe it or not... that's what Ko is claiming..

Yeah, i said that again last post. Just not good at phrasing.

the point is, it's not a "required" to used with their ESC. Just a little enhancement. So, why not? still, choice is made by the consumer.
