I feel that the time has come to upgrade to a digital servo, but im not too sure which one........ a search gave a massive amount of contrasting threads.
They all seem to have fairly similar amounts of torque, currently im using a mid range KO713 Servo-7.2v 0.10sec/5.3Kg.
I was looking at the two other KO's which seem to be recomended, the 2123 and the 2343. The only other which really caught my eye is the Futaba 9550. These three are fairly easy to get hold of in the UK and are all looking good. Im not sure how much of a difference i will notice in the speeds of them though. The futaba would be my perference if it wasnt the slowest of the pick and slightly slower than my current servo.

the "speed" of digital servos are around the same as analog ones

however if your radio has something like HRS then you may notice the response goes up a litte

the main advantage of digital servos is the centering power and the precision, but not speed

Theres a fairly big speed difference between them. The 2123 is .06, the 2343 is 0.08 i think and the 9550 is .11

You cant go wrong with the KO servos either of them. It depends on your radio tho like was said. If your radio doesnt capitolize on the digital servos features its not really worth it.

Using a Hitec Flash 4 at the moment, sort of mid range again, not sure i would use enough of the features on the KO vantage to make it worth buying.

Hey I wouldnt personally get the 2123, its got plastic gears and even though a TINY bit lighter they dont last forever, its also 7.2v so you have a nasty fet choke to wire (never as neat). I had one in my Yokomo for a short while, broke gears and kept having to buy spares, i kept adjusting the servo saver looser but to no benefit. I have had a 2343, these are very nice servos but if your looking for the ultimate i would go with the 2363. Tiny bit more xpensive but a heatsink that looks REAL GOOD.

The 2123 got metal gears.

He's already used to deal with 7,2 volt

I'm running the 2123. What I really like about it, is speed and resolution. It's very smooth, making it easy to drive. This is with a midrange radio, KO Presto.

2123 is a metal gear servo and it is WILD...

Used mineon Friday night for the first time. Coupled with thefast response of my Multiplex radio you only had to think of turning and your car changed direction..it was moving at the speed of thought it seems...

You'll likely need to dial in a little expo until you can come to grips with the response of the servo, after you're used to it though you'l love it.

I chose my 9550 purely for its size, its also quick enough and has enough torque for my applications...

wonder if the 2343 KO servo works well with Sanwa Airtronics M8.

Does M8 a digital radio?

KO Propo 2343 is great, but i like Futaba 9550 most because of it's size. It has the requirements for me, Electric Sedan and Gas Sedan
