Default Gear diffs posi or not?

Hey guys im putting together my rear diff and its my first gear diff build. Now i got the diff together and connected the spur gear now when i spin the spur gear bothe axles move forward but it takes a lot more presseur to stop one side from spinning then the other....is this normal when u spin the spur should both sides take the equal amount of pressure to stop them from spinning?
