Hi Guys,

Harry from the Bay Area here...

I've been lurking around this thread for a while and finally got my 4x4 Slash / GT8 Lite conversion done. Nothing special, basically a stock brushless 4x4 with Big Bore shocks, sway bars and Sweeps 50's. Starting with 50wt in the shocks for now.

I don't even know if there's any organized racing for this class up here but it just looked too cool to pass up.

Still need to finish trimming the body and get it mounted but here's a pic so far.

My understanding is pretty much any 10 scale short course truck is viable.

Harry, Looks great! let us know once you get it on the ground.

Since I got my GTP2e I haven't driven the GT Lite much but this weekend I broke due to poor driving. I broke out the Slash so the day wasn't over and was shocked. I had forgotten how fun it was to drive. It feels so much lighter! I doubt my parts will make it in from Texas in time for this weekends racing but honestly I'm not too upset.

I'm planning on running 2S. I dont' feel like having to switch our motor/ESC and replace my center diff with a slipper......to much work. If we do run, I hope it's 2S....if not you guys on 3S will smoke me. Then again, even on 2S I may still get smoked. LOL!!!

Hopefully you ordered from NitroHouse. They usually have a 2-3 day turnaround. Hope to see you out there.

Fangs...it's the Protoform PF8 GT. Easy to work with, seems durable and nice and light to increase the power / weight ratio of the 4x4 conversion...at least that's the theory... $30 from Tower:

I'll post another pic. after I tweak the wheel well trimming and get the body post holes set.

I tried the Protoform PF8 GT8 lid and it doesn't have the snug fit that your's seems to have on my Slash. Did you do something different to yours.?? Are you sure that's a Protoform?

Does anyone know of a lid that will have a more narrow fit??? If so, provide a part # and supplier. Thanks!!

My body is a Thunder Tiger body it on sale at Tower hobbies for 34.99 and I also run the Proline 17mm adapter which has less offset so my jammin can fit under that lid.
