i guess this situation doesnt really apply to you guys being that you can run the protoform body...but your competion is having a set back...ofna discontinued their onroad kits...gtp2e,dm1,gtv,gtp2e all of them...kyosho drivers dont have to worry about where theyre going to get their next body bc they changed their wheelbases about a year ago...as for the older kyosho's they are in the same boat...and dont forget parts support...

I'm reading a lot about the tires you all are using and have a suggestion if you can convert over to using 1/8th scale tires. I tried using my Tekno SCT410 truck, which is basically an 1/8th scale buggy in truck clothing. I had already switched out the hubs to run the 1/8th scale tires before I started to run it on road. I eventually bought a used OFNA RTR chassis, not because of any big issues with the truck, but mainly because I was too lazy to fabricate a front bumper to keep the body from dragging. But I digress. If you can get those 17mm 1/8scale hubs, get some GRP tires. They come in either slicks or treaded versions. Trust me these are awesome tires! I switched from Sweeps to GRPs and went from a so so car to a TQ and A main winning car in the same day - no other changes and actually out qualified all but one of the 1/8th scale nitro GT cars that day with my electric GT car. After the race I took the tires off and balanced them; only one tire needed any weight to bring it into balance and it required only a very minimal amount of clay to bring it into balance. A very small sample size I know, but I'm impressed.
PS I'm just an old fart who loves racing and I have no association with GRP (or anyone else) - I just like these tires!

Probably same distance again as between Sweep and GRP.
At least one second down during most of our tests compared with GRP.

Can anyone suggest where I can buy the complete GT8 kit?

What is the best way to set the droop on a converted traxxas rally gt8 light?
The only way I can come up with is to place spacers inside the shock to limit the length, is there a better and quicker way to do it?
Any other sugestions!

Does the STRC GT-8 kit fit the Traxxas Rally?
Also, what is the purpose of the STRC GT-8 kit? Is it simply to reduce ride height or does it offer other benefits?

Somebody has to know! Are you guys still building these?
And does anybody know who makes the wheels seen in this photo below?

I got my STRC GT-8 kit.
They also sent me a ton of free stuff. These days most companies are too cheap to even include a sticker. Shadow Hobbies sent me a bunch of business cards coozie, keychain, pen and a screwdriver. The screwdriver holds a special place because my grandfather, who was a mechanic, used to carry one of these in his shirt pocket and he never took it out.
Sadly, soon after I placed this order I got an email from Shadow Hobbies saying they were robbed of over $20,000 worth of stuff.
