Questions?? 15t brushed full boost&turbo okay?

I want to put in a 15t brushed motor on my tekin rs with boost and turbo set to max with a 5.33 FDR. Is this okay, or is it pushing it?
Is it safe?

Default brushed

dont think you can use turbo and boost with a brushed motor. where would the sensor lead go for a start?

speedo will just revert to blinky mode.

i have never thought about it before and could be wrong but pretty sure you could not use boost and turbo as dynamic timing needs sensors in the motor

Boost and turbo are only available for brushless.. So even if you hooked up your motor and used the 'brushless' motor option it would give and error for wrong motor type. In the 'brushed' mode there is no turbo/timing.

Dynamic timing (ie turbo and boost) can only be used on sensored brushless motors.

Hope this helps

By the way, that 15turn, if its a decent motor, should go pretty hard anyways Not sure about the 5.3 FDR though... I would go higher (Not sure on xactly how high though)

those settings are for brushless only... you need to wire a mrushed motor up differently to make the rs work

Regarding FDR, for a 15t brushed motor I would start around 6.5 - 7.0

6.5 is way too low. We have a class in local club where we race 15t brushed motors (HPI Firebolt 15t to be exact) with TC cars and with 6.5 FDR the temps on motors are above 212F (100C), which is overkill for the motor. I would suggest to start with 7.0 FDR.
