look at the Reedy Quasar Pro's. It's AC/DC, charges fine and discharges at 20 amps and if I remember right they usually sell for around $150

Just as a note: "best and cheapest" don't go together in this hobby, but here are some of the nicer (IMHO) chargers (w/ discharging) for under $200:
- LRP Pulsar Competition (only up to 10A though)
- Integy 16x5v6 (up to 20A)
- AE Quasar Pro (fixed version, up to 20A)

Hope this helps

hi there blackwrench since your budget is $200, i suggest getting the eagle CDC v6.0. it is one of the nicest chargers available for the price. it has a lot of features that im pretty sure you wont outgrow, even if you decide to go nitro, or even go into park flying, nitro planes, helis, etc. since it cycles 1-10 cells.

the only negatives (if you can call them that ) i can think of are the ff: 1. you need a separate power supply and 2. it doesnt have a motor run feature.

eagle CDC features (from the box )
- 2x16 character backlit LCD
- battery resistance readout
- autorepeak on/off 1-60 minutes
- partial charge feature (10%-50%)
- small size (approx 6" x 5" x 2")
- 50 to 6000mah battery capacity
- 0.1 to 7.0 amp charge rate
- 0.1 to 20 amp discharge rate
- trickle on/off
- .3mv to .20mv per cell volt threshold
- 1 to 9 times cycle
- 1 to 60 minutes delay after charge
- 1 to 60 minutes delay after discharge
- 1 to 10 cells nicad/nimh
- 6 melodies
- 10 user-settable charge profiles
- 4 charge modes:
----normal peak
----fuzzly logic (discharge then charge)
----partial (10% to 50% of battery capacity)
----boosting (partial discharge then charge)

goodluck in picking your charger and see you at the tracks
