has anyone tried one of these as yet? thinking about getting one as i saw someone adjust his old board to around 15 degrees at the weekend (had to use scissors to get the board to fit!!), but man was his car quick! keeping up with mod class and still only getting to 60 degrees!!

What does the sensor board fit into?? any spec motor ?? its obviously a 540 can??

Yes, have been using the 20 degree and 30 degree boards since the start of our outdoor race season here. Still working on dialing in setups with the 323 firmware on the V3 and 1S V3 motors.
What I have noticed so far is that they really help with low end punch out of the corner in 17.5 racing.

Do you get a bunch more heat with the 30deg board? Was thinking of using one in a 1S V3 17.5 for 1/12th. We run boost instead of blinky too... I imagine the settings would be way different with that endbell timing.

I'm using the 20 to 30 sensor boards also. We are running blinky. I'm racing at the track that is holding the Roar Paved National's. The new sensor boards have been awesome. Great power band. 130 to 150 degrees on a 90 degree day. Keeping up with the D3's and ThunderPower motors.

Is this to back down the can timing from the original +35 or +30 degree units that came with the Sportsman and V3 motors? Or is this new unit adding in 10/20 to what we already have?

I understand well the need and use of 'tuner' parts, just hope it's not something that's promoted as "On-Sale", when it really is "For-Sale".

In this Blinky World we found ourselves in, I thought Max Timing and Gearing were king. I Know, I Know, the sweet spot is were You find it, but I feel this part is giving up something we already had.

The "Black" sensor board which comes with the V3 motors allows an adjustment range of 0 - 10 degrees. This is considered mechanical or physical timing.
The "Red" +10 sensor board allows a mechanical adjustment range of 10 - 20 degrees.
The "Green" +20 sensor board allows a mechanical adjustment range of 20 to 30 degrees.

dont let the soft cocks who got rid of the boosted esc`s cause they couldnt use them, see different timing boards or all the motors will have fixed timing next

Following the SP products since my first 1.1 esc w/ sportsman series motors to my current 2.0 lpf w/ v3 (17.5 thru 4.5) motors,and softwares 1.31, 1.32, 1.33, and now 1.37, I'm of notion that the new sensor boards are dropping the nominal can-end-bell timing to better take advantage of the (latest program download 1.37) SP esc's 64 (?)degrees of total esc adjustment.
The 'magic' total number of timing has been found to be 60 ish, can and esc combined. Take any motor and throw max esc timing at it and you will most likely overheat/melt/burn it up.

You know, this is probably as simple as saying that you now can use less can timing in your motor and more timing in your esc to get your best laps.

I'm thinkin my question should have been "how could less be more?"

I see that this thread is a notice of new product, I just found the door to my cage open and made a run for it...........if the original sensors were only 0-10, there is no efin way they would have been competitive. back to my cage now

I just compared the photos of the 3 different sensors, and yes you can see that they are "clocked" as described, WOW i jumped the gun on this one! I can only imagine the power that I've been giving up........crap!
Timing is Temperature, be careful.
