Thats fine to start. I like to run a little more timing (40*) on that same gear though.

Ran my 4.5 Reedy for the first time yesterday at Leisure Hours (215ft straight). Started at 8.0, neutral timing, profile 6 on SXXv2..... holy balls and smooth!

Next Sunday.... add 1 tooth and go up to profile 8

i ran the Reedy for the first time in 21.5 on the track i usually dont go very well on, motor got quicker throughout the day and didnt drop off like the revtech,

and i finished 2nd on the day and set PB's for overall time and lap time by a big margin.

im sure the new Reedy 6500 packs i was using helped as well

Beth.

Can somebody tell me what size rotor comes in the 21.5 motor?

Below are option rotors to suit, what are the difference and what does the bigger rotor do, does bigger equal a better low end motor?

12.3 x 24.2
12.3 x 25
12.5 x 25

its the 12.5 X 25 , mine was stamped with 956 on the shaft,

Yep in theory the bigger rotor will give you more low end torque and take away from some top end RPM,

But the reedy is just a torquey motor it had no problems running 70 rollout at 40 deg timing at SMA at the practice day last sunday, and still had bucket loads of torque and top end speed,

Beth.

At the moment they only sell replacement stators for 17.5. You can buy the screws, bearings, case set and insulators all separately but if its the windings that are busted you'll need to buy a new 8.5t motor.
