There s another brand of carpet named Fanfare. The track where I race uses it. I think it is better than Ozite. It lays better and the traction is excellent. Unfortunately, I don't know who manufacturers it or where you can purchase it.

I think FanFair is manufactured by dupont. Rain City raceway in Lynwood, Washington has been using it with great success.

Yep, DuPont makes that. I liked it alot when I ran on it. No real advantages or disadvantages (traction wise) between it and Ozite that I could tell.

Their 800 number does not work in Canada and they do not reply to e-mails

seems like this company doesnt wan't our CND funds. Our club tried using the Alley place and got no where.

Gary, Just do what we did, order from Calandra, the price is lower and the shipping i fast. with the way the dollar is you can't go wrong with the real OZITE.

Most large carpet shops sell it. Out here in west we were the one of the first to use it a few years ago. It is 1/3 less the cost of the crc stuff but a little thinner.

if your going to buy fanfair be ready to replace your bearings for the first couple months. the fanfair fuzzes bad and has no traction for the first month or so.. the ozite from CRC has no fuzz and traction is up the first day out. I ran in knoxville on a 88x50 fanfair track last season and still find fuzz to clean off my 12th scale. we just got a local track here in Nashville and I bought a 100 foot roll of ozite from CRC myself to add to the 3 60 foot rolls the local track owner had from last season. you can't tell the difference in traction and it was high from day one. call frank at CRC and tell him nashrc sent you. don't know if it will get you it any cheaper but it don't hurt.

the other thing is CRC ozite is the carpet used at the US indoor champs in Cleveland. 500 entrees last year and 4 practice rounds 4 rounds of qualifing and the mains for 50 heats. then the local club in cleveland gets to use the carpet for a year and it's still good.
