Both are great cars in my opinion.

The 417 is great when traction is medium to medium high conditions.

T3'2011 is great when the traction is high to extremely high. Seems like Xray is at it's best when other cars are on the verge of traction rolling.

+1
The last Danish nats round was at an indoor asphalt track, with extreme high traction. I couldn't get my Tamiya to stop rolling, but the Xrays were awesome.

But at the indoor carpet nats this year, the last two races were at the same track. At the first race, I raced an Xray, and couldn't get it to handle properly. The rear was sliding all over the place. At the next race I raced a 417 box stock (+ geardiff) and the car was awesome!

I ve a 416 x. Tamiya is very beautifull, but have important wearing ( it depend of course of the motor on it ).

The t3 is very easy to drive and hudy make great and durable parts.
For me the only negative point is the part prices.
This winter i will switch to the new t3 2012, no more tamiya for me.

So you have the tc6 too. But you vave to lucky with your kit.

Tweaked lowerdeack without any screws and parts
Screws were missing
Difference betwen anodisation colors
Clearance on the rear arm
Too much work to put a gear diff

I ve just receive my tc6 and i will sell it...

How about putting in the Yokomo BD5WX kit? That would be a real showdown!
T3 2011 vs TRF417 vs BD5WX. Does anyone here all all three kits?

What a stupid statement, you know nothing about the current models from either manufacturer so you really aren't qualified to make any comment.

You have an XRAY NT1 in your signature, why not just get an electric one? Stick to what you know.

Let me just put it this way... You're going to be happy with either of the cars. They both have their advantages and disadvantages, but they are best cars out of the lot.

For an electric begginer t3 should be better for transmission durabilty

Nitro driver need some time to learn how to push the throttle without On/Off
