Default New to tc,, which motor

I will be picking up a 1/10 tc. I have a tekin 7.5 motor that I used in my 1/10 off road 4wd buggy. Could I use the same motor or do I need something different

If you are planning to run modified, which i would assume you are, a 7.5 will work great, especially if you have a tekin rs esc, this combo will work for most tracks, as far as touring cars go, personally i would get a tamiya or a top photon, they are both great on carpet and asphalt. Hope this helps! Good luck!
