Default tc3 hub bearings

how do i get them out so i can clean them? i took off the wheels but i cant get that plastic hex nut off to get to them?

I usally use a flathead screwdriver t opry it off but it could harm the bearings

so i'm just not pulling hard enough? the hex adapter on my rs4 nitro just used to slide off

Stick a pair of angled wire cutters inbetween the hex & the hub wiggle a little and squeeze.
