Joel looks about like you'd expect for someone of his caliber just getting back into it - some laps he looks like the Joel from 10 years ago, some laps he blows his lines. I think he was 5th in Mod after round 1 or something like that. They only had 2 12th mod entries, so that class was killed. He's running 13.5 blinky instead. He looked really good there, but was underpowered. He's still super-friendly and will talk to anyone.

Are the 13.5 and 17.5 Sedan classes ramping or non-ramping?

When did Vintage become a class that competes at the ROAR National Championships?

the only ramping class in Mod TC - everything else is non-ramping..

VTA has been a ROAR class for like the last 3 or 4 years - just hasn't really ever been run before..pick up/download the ROAR rule book and you'll see it in there - it's the pre-Sept2010 USVTA rules that allows for 21.5 motors..but since ROAR cannot specifiy manufacturers - its any ROAR-approved 21.5 and any ROAR-approved sportsman speedo

but this ain't the tread to get into a vta discussion

17.5 and 13.5 are both non-ramping. Better known as blinky spec.

There were no melt downs today. There were a LOT of dissappointed people that bought motors before arriving here only to find out they couldnt run them. They took it in stride and used other motors. Tech checkin ran perfect all day, practice with Jimmy and Alex on the mic ran flawless all day other than the rain delay. So far a great event at an awesome track!

EA
idn't really think they would be any melt downs

sometimes a little teasing calms the situation.

Any time table for the mourning? Hoping we will get a bit if extra practice to shake down our cars that got rained on.

The aftermath.

The gates will be open at 7am tomorrow and track clean-up will continue. We stayed until about 9pm tonight doing a preliminary clean-up. The track just has a few branches on it (and a some wet spots ).

I haven't seen weather like that in a long time!

I posted a video on YouTube "Jackson Rc rain 3?" if anyone's interested.
