Default Receiver and ESC compatibility - need help!

I have an airtronics z (92836) receiver (FM75mhz) and a novak Atom ESC. Got it all wired up and I only get steering and no throttle. I got a friend to use his futaba receiver (27Mhz) and everything worked. So I was releived that it was not the ESC that has the problem.

Now my question for all is why??? I tested my airtornics receiver again on my gas car (2 servos) and it still works. Is there any compatibility issue here?

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Roy

You may have to switch the red and white wire from the servo, check the directions on the servo again.

That is what is also mentioned from the atom manual. BUT... it says that do it on the old airtronics and not on the airtronics z with blue casing. Now I'm not sure what receiver I really have

Thanks for the suggestion.

There should not be any compatability problem between the two, I think you need to switch the wires, call Novak to be sure.
