Default European National 2004

I watched the video, it's crazy !!!! especialy final#2, the rain was the heaviest..... all the splashes..... the sprays..... wow !! just like real cars fighting. Despite the wet track condition, all drivers remain calm and drive competitively. They keep on push and pushing among each other. They take corners just like in dry condition ..... damn.... no wonder majority of Formula One drivers are european nationals. It's in their blood.

Wow is right. Pretty cool racing in the downpour.

I was at the same TCS race that Leester was at. The track was heavily sprayed all week and the buildup on the tires was unbelievable it was a thick syrup glaze on the tires. You needed a chisel to get it off. I was fortunate enough to TQ Heat#1 for GT1 (mod sedan). I think that was the only time, well 2nd time I got to countersteer like dirt oval cars do with my sedan. I remember Scotty telling me to take it easy, because other sedans were doing donuts, I pushed harder.

The most fun I had was my bro and I were at a outdoor dirt track and got caught by a terrential downpour. Did that stop us, heck no. It was the funniest thing seeing huge roostertails from the tires. I would even drive by him and drench him with the dirty water spray from the tires. Good stuff. The downside, I lost 3 bearings and I think the motor seized from water damage. Luckily the chassis was the old RC10 tub so the electronics were ok. If I did it intentionally I would watertreat my electronics.

Yes it was. Is there any other Scotty at a TCS race.

Thats cool having him sign your TA03pro, when did you have him do that?

It was long time ago...... back then in Summer 1996 at TCS Alisio Viejo. He won 1st on 4wd class and his car was awesome, exhilarating performance when his car exiting corner...... blast from the past .

He taught me how to setup car correctly...... very kind of him.

Guys,

We usually don't race at our electric track in Australia if it's wet, but...

There was a situation a couple of weeks ago when due to the rain during our normal racing nights, we had been almost a month without our normal club racing.

Anyway, one night in particular, it reached the Formula1 race, and then started raining. After 20 mins of waiting the event was called off. We (the F1 guys) were all standing in the club rooms with our cars and radios in our hands when someone said 'Oh well, we didn't get dressed up for nothing..'

So... Out we went.. I was pretty suprised how much grip was still available - the car would generally do what was asked of it, as long as you were light on the throttle.

I have to say that watching F1 cars dart into each other's rooster tails of water was awesome! Water was streaming off the rear wings as a fine spray, just like the real thing..

Anyway, we managed to do about 20 laps until 2 of the three cars ground to a halt.. (The cars were all OK after the dried off), but what an awesome time we had.

Photos will definately be in order next time this happens..

Big Jig.

I usually race touring, but got 10th in 2wd and 7th 4wd...
2wd was my first offroad race ever... And I wasn't even supposed to run 4wd, but then a local shop up there threw a brand new Yokomo at me

But still, Touring is what I do best, and what I will continue doing...

Norwegian ranking:

Note that I have only raced two races outdoor this year, as I had a 6 month break from racing... Still I'm on top
