This is old news I don't know why a press release was just issued for that. We ran 1380g at the Carpet nats back in March.

We will fondly remember the good ole days when we would nail a chunk of ballast that came off a car in the previous race.

Interested to see the pro's setup sheets to see what changes were made to plant the cars now that they are lighter.

God knows why they want to reduce weight limits even further when lipos are getting heavier and heavier....

Even with a 6000mah ReVtech pack in my T3'11, full size servo, futaba receiver, motor fan and mount I have to add about 35-40 grams to make my car legal (1380). Some cars are even lighter than the xray is. A couple are heavier but they still have to add weight to get to 1380. At 1350 like over seas some cars could not have gotten down that far. ROAR saw the 1380 as a way to keep everyone from trying to find a place to put weight and not punish the guy that has a brand of car thats not as light as others.

Go look at Paul Lemiux's setup from Reedy last year. He had 112 grams of weight on his car. I think they used 1420 there last year but not 100% sure (That was ROAR weight last year and they use ROAR rules). Thats a little overboard to me.

My TM E4RS came race ready to 1315 grams
Now with the bigger lipo's it is 1352
Sakura Zero is at 1371 and the TRF416X runs about the same
All with 5000MAH or 5300MAH lipo's and no weight added.

regards Roy
