Get yourself a smaller spur like a 72 and get some 37-40 pinions. That should get you in the ballpark, I think I switched over to 64 pitch gears when I was gearing mine with a 21.5. The problem you may run in to is getting the gears to fit/mesh. Ask around at the track what FDR people are shooting for..

I run a TC5R in VTA on a 98x60 carpet medium traction. I use a 100 spur and 50 pinion for an overall 4.0 FDR. TC5 internal ratio is 2.0.

I drop down to a 47 pinion if the layout is a little tighter 4.26 FDR.

Here is a gear chart that someone did a great job on, not mine. But this is for the tc6, I would guess this will get you close to what will fit. That is the problem, Not sure about your FDR for that motor. Hope this helps

In VTA are you not limited on the fdr you can use? I thought I heard 4 was max somewhere.

The 80t spur from TC6 should fit the TC5 I guess, did not try it, otherwise they are some spurs out there that will fit but watch out for the XRay's spurs, the holes are not the same, I know i got some
