R.I.P., Mike Reedy. We will miss you. A really nice guy. I remember that I wasn't satisfied with one of his modify motors at the West Coast Championship (years, years ago) and he gave me his backup and let me keep the one I didnt like for a practice motor.

Our son Randon came very close to being named "Reedy". It was on the short list of names at the time.

last time I talked to Mike was probably a nice 20 minute conversation about 235mm pan cars of all things... about how ridiculous the speeds were back in the day, and that's what lead to demise of 235mm cars way back then. "can't be more than 7 people worldwide that can drive them accurately".

Wish I'd have had a few more opportunitys to chat him up.

RIP Mr. Reedy. I still have a letter from Mike from several several years ago when I was trying to get sponsored and sent resume's out to a bunch of companies. Mike was the only one that responded with a nice friendly letter signed by him. I still have it saved. To me that showed a lot about him.

I also remember the 2002 carpet nats in Stockton CA. There was a celebrity race and Mike was one of the racers invited to race a TC. We were marshaling the race and decided to pick the two walls up in front of the drivers stand so he could make pretty much an oval out of the road course! He had a blast during that race and EVERYONE in the building did as well.

Thank you for everything you did for us Mike!
