Rumoured new XRAY TC
#121
I don't think Xray is coming with a shafty tourer.
I know some guys working and racing for them including Jilles (Groskamp), and I never heard a single story about them.
Xray isn't a company who will do those things.
First of all the money, there are building a state of the art factory with several tracks around it. That sure doesn't come cheap.
Second, they have a very good tourer witch they are still improving.
Why should they design a new chassis if this one is still doing the job right.
And this is exactly how Xray thinks, they play for safe!
If they have the money for a new chassis, I think they will design a car from another class, maybe a 1:8 onroad gas car like Juraj did in his earlier days.
And in these days it doesn't really matter what kind of chassis/drivetrain you're using. In the touring scene it's all about your driving skills and offcourse the know how. Those two things are the basis to be a good touring driver.
Atsushi (and others) is winning races not because he's using a shaft tourer, but just because he has amazing skills.
Even with the Pro 3 he was winning races, and almost everyone said that was a bad tourer.
With these facts, why should Xray thinking about a total new chassis?
I don't see it, and if they do I think it's a stupid move.
In other words, this myth is busted!!!
