Default Blueprinted motors...worth the money?

I have got my Xray handling excellent so now my biggest problem is getting more "juice" out of my motors. I race stock and 19-turn...I was wondering if blueprinted motors like the Putnam ones are worth the extra $10-$15 bucks. I have tried all the tricks to squeeze more out of my motors like aligning brush hoods, polishing bushings and shafts, trying many different brushes, different cuts and serrations on brushes....all with mixed results. Doing all these things has helped me a lot and I am faster than 3/4 of the guys at the track but there are still a few guys who are so fast that you would swear they are cheating somehow.

Will I notice a huge improvment with blueprinted motors?

something that I didn't think about was my radio setup.. After I was 'educated' about my radio and a few changes there, I went faster too.

For stock , i have tried just about all of them without seeing a difference other than a pretty sticker. The only motors i ever had that were second to none were the promatch motors. He stopped doing them about a year or so ago. From what i have seen unless its hand wound they arent doing anything you cant do yourself aside from zapping magnets .

Assume I have all other possible upgrades taken care of already. I run 1.179 batts, QC2 ESC, fastest Airtronics servo available, sorex tires, pulsar charger, Novak equalizing tray, etc, etc.

Well, I only charge $2 more for my blueprinted stock motors.....my PRO versions are identical, except they do include the full blown dyno print out.....they are dyno tuned still...

And NFS4 is correct, you were willing and able, you could tune your motor well yourself.....however, most people aren't willing to put forth the effort to gain the knowledge and then use it properly.....

But if you are you fit rght in with my new line of RAW series motors.....they come complete untouched from the factory with now brushes or springs....saves you money and lets you build the motor you want.

And for the record....the balancing device(thats at least what they call it) is crap and it will NOT balance your armature correctly......balancing an arm is not like balancing a wheel....completely diferent process and thats why the machines to do it cost thousands of dollars.

I was just wondering... EddieO.... did you ever see the machine NIFTECH uses to straighten and balance the armatures? I think it's safe to say it cost a pretty penny.... and the results are on the track and the dyno....

just my .02 cents...

How's it going. If you like, come over and talk to me or Larry. We would be more than happy to help with motors, gearing, charging, etc. I only run batteries around 1.16-1.17. I don't have an issue with speed. It just seems that someones always moving the dots in front of my car.
See ya' in 2 weeks.

Correct me if i am wrong , but an arm balanced by niftech would make it illegal to run in a roar or fseara event wouldnt it ??? I am not being a smart a$$ with this question , i though you can only run an epoxy balanced arm.

I've been to numerous events over the last 23 years... I've seen stock arms balanced long ago... It's not legal at roar events, but do you think it's gonna stop some people? lol...

At the ROAR onroad nats I went to in Ohio the arms were not epoxy balanced, they were revenge based motors from FANTOM drill ballanced.
