Both upper arm, the arm closest to the rear 0 the thinner one. Measured the location of both breaks and they are within 2mm of each other.

Going to glue 1.5mm carbon tubing on the under side of the arms when the new ones arrive and try that out, and see what it takes to break them then.

Must say, even with the broken arm it still handled okay on both occasions.

I beg to differ, as the front arms broke on the first run (albeit not with me at the controls, but the intended driver)... not ok, and given the comments from others here, it seems you are wanting to burry your head in the sand.

Question, have you actually run it yet, or just being a hypocritical keyboard looser again?

I can barely fit my old Novak in there... there is NO room to make adjustments for different pinions...

The build was going so well till installing the electronics...
I use ufo motor, on stand spur gear, I can use max 30/31 pinion gear. If I use other motor, I only can use more small pinion gear.

In formual rabbit kit with ufo, on stand spur gear, I can use 40 pinion gear, if use fast spur gear set, it will be a huge final gear ratio

Yeah, I ended up dremeling off some of the upper deck around the left post area, now I can get full motor adjust-ability I'm looking forward to try this car out Sunday...

I'm sort of a sadistic realistic scale kind of a guy and the fact that this car has a weak upper front arm is in a way cool... I mean, when a real F1 car hits the wall hard, that's it... it's out of the race, so why not for RC F1 racing... might make a few drivers think twice before attempting a overly optimistic passing attempt... just keeping it real... it's all I'm saying

Tryhard & (duh) friend should try harder not to hit walls !!! The car is strong enough for $125, and is a way better value than any tamiya or other available F1 car right now !!!

lightfoot, I checked out your pics of your car; nice job!

It looks like you are using one of the "shorty" 2s lipo packs, am I right?

Did you have any problems with the shocks leaking?; and if so, how did you fix it? Could you post pics of where you dremeled part of the upper deck to give more adjustability to the motor?

How does the car handle with the "shorty" pack and the super softs all the way around?

Also, could you post pics of the car body as well? We haven't seen many of those.

I know it's a lot of questions; but as someone who is "on the fence" about getting the FGX, the more info the better.
