I have a blitz and an fgx so I had to check this out because it sounds like a great idea. Unfortunately the blitz uprights will not accept a king pin all the way through it like the fgx front end has. The blitz takes a screw from the top and bottom with the bearings and axle in between the screws.

If the rules limit the width to 180mm than neither car is legal...if the limit is 190mm then the FGX is legal but the F109 (stock) is not.
Thanks for the info, yes we will be using them on asphalt med grip with rubber tires so if I go on what you said the FGX is the way to go then.

How do the Tamiya rubber compare to other brands.

Thanks

Personally I like the HPI soft front and medium rear combo. Seems to work good on our asphalt which I would guess is about medium grip.

Last Sunday the first round of a 4 meeting F1 series kicked off in Melbourne, Australia. A full meeting report can be found here.

The FGX is gaining popularity in Australia and we've recently added a detailed guide to the FGX and a build blog on the F1-09.

Bring on the F113

Got the rear Exotek arms, running them with Alum bulkhead and Alum rear toe mount and they have LOTS of front to rear play, even with the included shims. I added a 1 mm shim on each arm, is this normal?

Should be 4mm of shims on each arm.

Ooh, nice! Game changer I hope. I've tried the new Ride sedan tires. Good but not as good as a Sorex. Actually a Sorex F1 tire would be the true game changer
