I have tried different batteries so that is not the issue.

Ok, no more F104 talk from me..... Thread jack hault!!
I asked ThunderPower about this and was told because of a rubber gasket inside it will smell funny.

mantisWorx ,, I did you notice that when running at the start of the race car is good . middle of race fade, car seems to have more lateral grip when tires come up to temp .. this might be what is causing the car to feel flat on throttle responce, and motor loosing it drive later during the run . I did find freeing up the front end (running softer springs ) and running med tire made a big diffrence ..

I use tire warmers normally about 30* over ambient when i pull them off but they cool off to around 20* before the start of the race . by the third lap or so the car is STUCK and i can drive the piss out of it til the end.
You do the same thing i did by going with soft fronts with med tires all the way around which feel great. You know i think its a relative thing because my fastest laps are normally the last 4 or 5 laps anyway!!

Havent had to use tire warmer's yet . getting off the line hasen't been a problem car launches very hard . Ive been starting with softs . then switch to mediums when the weather changes ..still just changing tires doesnt effect my set up . I think the car drives better full wood .!!!

Looking to convert my FGX from the plastic front arms to turnbuckles, but have no idea what to get. Can anyone recommend a good system (all parts included) to buy?

Cheers

the independent front suspension optional parts will come on May, you probably want to wait for that first.
And yes, exotek will probably come up with something new for that as well.

Exotek Front arms for the F104 Kit.
Mounted to the FGX stock chassis.
