Default Skunk Works FGX

Prototype Rev 1.1 complete.

Everything went together very good. Plenty of room for electronics now. did a quick wiring job. Eventually I will shorten up the wires and clean it up. The way the front arms mount directly to the center block allows them to be mounted lower. This will increase camber gain. By adding spacers I can get back to stock height.

Testing at Timezone this afternoon.

I dont want to defend him, but that is an older post, he actually hasnt been heard from in a while, I think he finally got a clue.
And my wife would probably first reduce him to tears and then kick his ass
But I dont want to fan the flames

I just got these springs in and am happy to report they fit. They are exactly 1cm longer than the stock springs though, so you will need to cut 1cm from the plastic tube that goes over the shock shaft.

I LOVE the McKune conversion for the FGX. The only thing I'm not too crazy about is that it looks like you have to tape the battery in. Now I know I'm going to probably get flamed for this, but I can't stand taping batteries in cars; it's so archaic and last century. It just plain bugs me! I know that some of you are going to think I'm silly, but I just don't like taping batteries in the car. When I get one of these I'm going to come up with some other way to keep the battery in place. Sorry

While on the subject of battery; is there a way to mount the new "shorty" style 2S lipo packs?

I wonder if the McKune chassis will accept the front shock/rocker arm setup from 3 Racing for the FGX? I hope so, as that will make the car even more scale realistic!
