This question has probley already been asked but I'm going to ask it any way. I got a Novak GTB and tried to run a 4.5 but I can't get a small enough pinion on without it rubbing against the pulley to get the right gear ratio. Then I tried running a 13.5, but then I couldn't get a big enough pinion on without it rubbing against the servo horn. Does anyone else run the original JRXS with brushless?

i just purchased the orion vortex 3.5 brushless motor.. i just want to know will the drive train on the jrxs be fine with that motor?? it will only be run with 6 cells.
It'll probably be fine other than you might just have to run the belts a tad looser.
why run the belts looser with that much motor?
run them so they don't skip, just as you would set the belts with any ohter motor. the drivetrain of the jrxs can easily handle that much power if everything is in good working order.

u tried a different spur combo to get the gearing u are lookin for?
If you close you can see that I have the wheels turned and the servo horn is just barely touching the motor.
I run the 13.5 on a big open track (because the gas guys like it that way)with a 118/47 giving me a 4.59.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I tried all different combos, the one pictured on the car is 118/37 for the 13.5.
If you close you can see that I have the wheels turned and the servo horn is just barely touching the motor.
So I don't see how you can be running a 118/47, unless you have a different servo horn or some kind of option on your car to give you more room.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Anyone here can suggest anything to get the correct gear ratio. Does Losi make bigger spur > 128T for the JRX-S???
Thanks.
i'm new and not well versed on gear ratios, i'm trying to run a 9x2 motor on a 128 spur/ 24 pinion and it feels really hot. what should i be running?

I have a bunch of spare parts for the JRXS in the for sale thread for a great price. http://www.rctech.net/forum/showthre...22#post3489922

are you soldering the wires to battery bars? you have to solder the leads straight to the battery. take a dremel and scuff the places you want the solder to stick to and solder you wires in. they should work then.

the packs soldered Side by side with Corally 4mm tubes, i can get the rear end of the pack in but the front will not go in
