I put down Mike Dumas's car and checked it out as well as other losi cars while they were peaking at the champs and I didnt see anything horribly obvious that was different, although i to be honest didnt know what i was looking for, or look for anything different. And I am pretty sure that they were running front diffs, or at least mike was in the qual when i put him down.

and the wiring jobs do look pretty messy since you have to jump them from one side of the chassis to the other.

BTW, the TC4 were all junk all weekend, there were MANY team meetings and only in the last qual i think two of them made the show, but had the drivers had tc3's there probably would have been alot more AE cars in the main.

The new losi is defently dialed! Although the xrays did look very good as well.

I don't think paul made any modifications to the car to make changes to the kit but the new losi drive shafts will make a big difference. Well worth the wait.

No no Steve.. Your the man! Are you going to Wisconsin????

Matt... The new car is incredible. Its so much easier to be consistent, you can actually feel setup changes, and unlike the old car, you have to screw something up to have it traction roll, or pick up tires. I think cleveland really showed how good the car was with 5 in the modified main. Theres gonna be a lot of people driving this car one its available...

and, yep.. I'll be at the Novak race.

Im sure Bobby is too modist to say... but he got peeled a few times in that main. I think at one point he had a body tuck and I know he was in the boards with Johnson nose first....

I sure hope this car is availible with ample time for the Novak race. I really would like to go, but wont have a TC untill the JRXS comes out.

Looks like the new Losi did well, but do you think the car is fundamentally set up to do well on tracks like carpet? With its short arms and inherently low roll center, it seems better suited to high grip applications like carpet and less suited to big flowing tracks with less traction. Just a guess, but as many have said, not every car works in every situation. Maybe that's why it was more successful on carpet than at the Worlds in Florida, although the car was really new in Florida. Toughts?

When I first saw the car and the specs on it...with the short arms...I wondered about the same thing. But I had to try it anyway. I'm a sucker for a new car with a different and uncommon design. So I guess I'll just have to wait and see once I've got one.

the losi did very well at the Worlds. Its just that it's still in production. To show how light the car was at the Worlds they already made aluminum parts for it just to make it legal weight. and after that they where over weight more than they needed to. But ya the car is awsome.

Guys I just read on the Losi site that they have been experimenting with a shaft drive hop up to the JRX-S and had run it and TQ'ed with it at the latest big race. Cleveland maybe? If so then they are making sure that the car will appeal to both styles.
