Does anyone have a good set-up for stock carpet-foam. On a very tight track?

$rusty$, go to jrxs.com and click on the forums , then go to the setups page, you should be able to find something there that works for you

Hi All

I am resetting up the car to Craig Xaviers Vegas Carpet setup and wonder how to get the rear camber to 2 degrees. The inside camber link is 5A and outside is position A on the rear Hub. 2nd question, should I run the inside or outside hole on the arm?

Should I reduce the ballcup length and then reset camber or just use the standard outside hole.

you can only run the inside hole in the arm if you have offset hubs that may be why that you cant get 2 degrees of camber and you may have to shorten the ball ends

so my car was handling great yesterday until i lightly whacked a 4x4 barrier. i replaced the broken parts, but the steering felt "wandery" after that, specifically when powering out of a 180 degree right hander. a-arms, castor blocks, and steering knuckles all were either replaced or fine, but i didn't check hinge pins. any ideas what could be causing this?

i think i'm going to rebuild / replace the front drive shafts and tear it down again to look for anything bent.

First----Check all the bearings out of the car.
Second--Remove and cut off the shrink on the LCD's so you can pull each of the pins out.
I'm bet'n you either have a tight bearing and or a broken pin in your LCD's

pooky, i think you're dead on with the LCD's. yesterday was the first time i was running lcd's on the car in a very long time. i think i'll go back to front cvd's, or maybe cvd's with the bearings on the pins.

I had a sudden front end push last year for two races and then discovered that the pin in the LCD's had broken in the middle. From looking at them on the outside they looked perfect. I would talke my wheels off and they would feel just fine. I finnally took off the whole arm assy. and with the wheel mounted the thing would bind like a turd. Thats when I opened up the shrink on the LCD's. I do prefer to run them on the front as they are WAY MORE free for the front of the car with my spool set-up. Good Luck.

Keith---Start with the Numan set-up and go from there. This has proven to be the best starting point for most of us and at most of the asphalt tracks. Good Luck!

Todd, are a-arms still on backorder? Horizon had them listed as early march I believe. I sent you a PM about a problem I was having with the fronts.

I gotta get something on my car before march 3rd, it's our next points race and I only have like 1 spare arm.
